TURN-OUTS
No Charge
All horses boarded at KEILYN are turned out and
cleaned up daily except weekends (this is not a replacement for your
grooming) to romp, play and graze.
TRIMMING
No Charge
Heads and legs of horses boarded at KEILYN are
trimmed regularly. Manes are razored as needed. These services are
rendered at no cost to the boarder.
SUPPLEMENTS
& MEDICATIONS
No Charge
Supplements and medications are administered to
our horses as needed at no cost to the boarder. The cost of supplements
and medication is not included.
VET
SERVICES
$5 handling charge
KEILYN is very proud to have Dr. Ed Gilbert of
Odessa Equine Clinic visit our facility on a regular (and emergency)
basis. Dr.Gilbert administers Deworming and Influenza/Rhino vaccinations every
three months to each horse boarded at KEILYN. Odessa Equine Clinic bills
the cost of the vet services directly to the boarder. When Dr. Gilbert is
called to attend to a horse boarded at KEILYN, a $5 handling fee per visit
is added to the monthly board bill. This charge covers the cost for
trained personnel to assist the vet with the boarder’s horse during the
examination and/or treatment.
BLACKSMITH
SERVICES
$5 handling charge
KEILYN is very proud to have Jim Zimmerman, one
of the country’s finest blacksmiths, take care of our horses’ feet on
a regular basis. Each horse is shod by Jim approximately every six to
eight weeks, depending on the growing season. Jim’s services are added
to the boarders’ monthly bill.
EQUINE
DENTIST
$5 handling charge
All horses boarded at KEILYN have their teeth
floated on a regular basis. The dentist’s services are added to the
boarder’s monthly bill. A $5 handling fee per visit is added to the
monthly board bill. This charge covers the cost for trained personnel to
assist the Equine dentist with the boarder’s horse during the treatment.
BLANKETING
& UNBLANKETING
No Charge
All horses boarded at KEILYN are shaved and
require blankets and sheets during the cold months. KEILYN personnel
blanket and unblanket the horses at no charge to the boarder.
BODY
CLIPPING
$200 per horse
KEILYN is proud to have one of the area’s
finest body clipper, Terry Danner, at our facility. Her years of
experience and expertise continue to be a selling point at KEILYN. Terry
keeps our horses beautifully trimmed, clipped and always ready to show!
GELDING
SHEATHS CLEANED
$10 per horse per cleaning
At the request of the owner, geldings' sheaths
can be cleaned by our trained personnel.
MANES
BANDED, BRAIDED AND TRAINED OVER
$10 per horse per training
If needed, horses’ manes can be banded and/or
braided to train the mane properly for $10 per horse per session.
BRAN
MASH
No Charge
Bran mash is administered to each horse as needed
at no cost to the boarder.
ELECTROLYTES
No Charge
Electrolytes are administered to each horse as
needed each summer at no cost to the boarder.
